RACE INFORMATIONWHEN
Saturday, January 13, 2024 WHERE Historic Lee Field in Green Cove Springs. Home of the US Navy's F6F Hellcat fighter of WWII fame. The course is a loop course around the perimeter of the old base. Each loop is 6.2 miles. The 10km runners do it once, 5km runners will do out and back, and 50km runners do it 5 times. The course is a combination of pavement and dirt roads. No roots or rocks. Runners will go thru scenic cypress swamps with an abundance of wild life to include gators, deer, bear. TIME

TIME LIMIT
Finishers medals to all 5km/10km finishers and Brass Buckle to 50km finishers. All runners receive a technical shirt. |
AID & WATER STATIONS
Every 1.5 miles for the 5km/10km and. After their time lapse, then every 3 miles for the 50km. RACE BRIEFING At starting line 15 minutes prior to race. RACE PACKET PICK-UP Packets will be available for pick up at the Baymeadows 1st Place Sports location on Thursday, January 11th and Friday, January 12th (10:00 AM - 6:00 PM). All packets will be moved to the race site for race day pick up beginning an hour before the race. Baymeadows Store: 3931 Baymeadows Road, Jax, FL 32217 TIMING All races will be chip timed. LODGING The Holiday Inn Express at 1815 East/West Pkwy. Fleming Island, Florida is recommended. 1-904-215-8900. Mention the Hellcat Race for preferential rate.
